Tender green leaf turned to see
The sunshine that comes through me
'Where were you,
Didn't you see me?'
I smiled and said,
'I was busy earning bread
As my youth doth shed',
I looked ahead
Where was happiness gone?
My drive to live dead
She looked mundane
Her thoughts so plain
I sat besides her
Was she in pain?
We had a nice talk
Worth a mile's walk
Ended with worries to drain
Yes, soon our laughter brought
forth a beautiful rain!
