lost in dark

dark dingy room of a mental ward
a patch of light enters through a high wall
sits with a book of psychiatry in her hands
to know what exactly goes on at the level of brain
what goes up and what goes down, feelings ashamed
these neurotransmitters put to blame
to perfect her world done an imperfect deed
savior for many how could she let her younger
one to bleed
heart, mind, soul all left her at the time she stood
under the hot sun with a blanket wrapped around did no good
pitied not by a single mortal she lost one out of two sons
a gory mother happens in this crazy world after futile stressful runs
lost laments vaporize everywhere light enters to clear the past
days move on world moves on heaviness breeds new heeds
awareness of conscience twists and bends breaks await
a kind hearing a helping hand and lots of compassion
